Mr.Gunn states in article that “ you don’t just give The Village property away. I was wondering If you could post in your tax balance sheet for the Village the taxpayers cost? As a mayor you are an elected official. Are you not listening to your community? Why haven’t you reached out to your people that you serve and fill them in on what is going on with the dog? Please return the dog to Mr.Patterson. Sometimes there our times when you as a human being and a community server you should do the right thing. Return the dog!

Do not treat Poseidon like an item to be used and exploited. He has feelings and attachment like all humans, so please let the family adopt him and give him the love he deserves. If the police force refuses the family adopting Poseidon, the the force is useless and f'd up without a heart!!

This sounds like there was some bad blood going on, but that should not involve Poseidon or the children with who has grown up with and the only family he has ever known, they have offered to pay for his ownership and to pay for a new K9 and to also cover the cost of Training the new K9, what more can he do? Poseidon may belong to the Police department, but you know his true owner is the Paterson family as they share a bond that should not be broken. Please do the right thing and take Mr Patersons offer, let Poseidon go home to his family, as he and the children are the real victims here, send him home for the holiday, don't be heartless.

And what are you teaching the kids who basically grew up with him as family? That feelings, and living beings don’t matter and they’re disposable! This police officer and his family have given this dog a wonderful home and now they rip the dog away from them because he is property? What an inhumane Mayor.
