This sounds like they were looking for a reason to fire her. She did nothing wrong in my eyes!! Seems like crooked policy

She did nothing wrong. It is nice to see a reporter have fun with a story, and make the audience smile.

I am an avid WJAR-10 viewer and do not believe that Ms. Kimmel should be terminated for poking fun at herself while reporting a story. Her doing a handstand was relevant to the story albeit the 'higher ups' not liking it. She has been a great reporter for WJAR. She ought to be rehired. It was poor judgement on the part of management to terminate her. Bring her back.

Julie always handles REAL news stories with absolute professionalism. Fluff pieces are another story - including fluff pieces promoting TV shows. Adding levity to those actually makes people pay attention. She was doing WJAR and NBC a favor. (PS - stories about new sandwiches at fast food franchises are not "news" stories. If that is the kind of news we want, we will watch FOX)

Big mistake letting her go. She is a breath of fresh air in an industry that takes it self way too serious.

This is silly, and petty. She made watching the news fun and interesting. Dan takes himself too seriously

Typical action(s) by suits/jack-wagons arrogantly sitting in offices deciding what we ADULTS can/canNOT see. God FORBID there should be ANY lightheartedness amongst the BAD news.

If NBC10 doesn't take her back, she could probably get a job on The Today Show!

I don't ever want to live in a society where you can have a little fun at work. We spend 1/3 of our lives at work. If we can have a little laughter what's the point? Life/news is serious enough, a little humor is welcome as a refreshing antidote. Bring Julie back and realize life is too short to be overly worrying about professionalism.

As the rest pof the reporters start to show their years... she shows spunk! Something Wjar needs.
