Let's make ice on the westside happen! Santa Monica residents and the westside is completely under-served as far as ice. It would change the community for the better.

The West Los Angeles and Culver City Area need ICE! The Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo has a monopoly when it comes to ICE and they know it! Let's give them some competition and perhaps they realize that Ice Hockey is for everyone, not just those with DEEP POCKETS to be their HUGE FEES!

This is a fantastic idea! Growing up and the Westside I would always to the Culver Ice Rink with friends. It would be great if this becomes a reality. In a time when kids are spending more and more time behind a computer or video game, we desperately need more fun activities to keep kids, and adults, active.
Santa Monica having two sheets of ice and a new sports complex with soceer/lacrosse field on top will place the city at the forefront of two burgeoning sports cried the city with additional revenue in the form of taxes and fees if any and provide the residents of Santa Monica with recreational areas and features they do not currently have access to particularly the ice skating considering the closure of Culver City / 2 years ago it's been a long time since Santa Monica had their own year round ice rink now they could easily have to in the same building there's only upside for this project and although some of you might not be familiar with the passion that amateur and recreational hockey players have for their sport I promise you there is no other single sport that develops within its players the lifelong desire to keep playing and involvement with the sport in general.
An investment in dual rink facility allowing for a new Hockey League and open spots for teams to rent practice iice is an investment in the future of sports on the west side of Los Angeles and Santa Monica. It's an investment for the recreation of the city's residents and itI will likely become a meeting place for residents and others alike just as culver City was, possibly for as long as the next 50 years. > there's no downside to this project, only upside and the upside is huge. Southern California general needs more ice rinks and Santa Monica would be be the greatest place to have one.
