Santa Monica doesn't need another hotel! We desperately need playing fields for our schools. An ice rink would be great too.

Please bring the ice to Santa Monica! The loss of Culver rink has been a toll on the community and an ice and field complex would be for all to share.

This is a important resource for families, youth and adults alike. Since Culver Ice Arena closed, hockey players have been forced to scatter to Toyota Center (El Segundo), Harbor City, Valley Ice (Panorama City), Burbank and Pasadena. It's hit-or-miss to get on a team in most of those rinks, and virtually impossible to bring an entire team. These rinks would allow us Culver refugees to skate closer to home. I guarantee youth and adult hockey ice time will fill up instantly.

Please reconsider not building the sports complex. My son plays in a soccer league and they struggle to find a pitch to play on at the weekend because they are all fully booked, mostly with adult leagues. How are we supposed to promote healthy living and exercise to our kids if the City always chooses money over what is good for the community?
Many thanks

Please help us bring Ice back to the city of LA. The City of Santa Monica would be the perfect location, especially with public transportation becoming more accessible. We have had so many champions come from Los Angeles, but 'kids' need to be introduced to skating... along with the fact that skating helps keep kids active, out of trouble, and gives them a sense of Community. Skating enriches kids lives, in so many ways. Please help us to bring the Ice back.
Losing Culver Ice Rink has hurt this city in much larger ways - than just closing a rink. You kicked kids out to the streets. We need safe recreation for kids- period!

I grew up skating at the old rink in Santa Monica on 5th Street. It would be so beneficial to our community to have a place where people and kids of all ages can gather. My daughter is a competitive skater and we currently skate in El Segundo at Toyita Center. It's a beautiful facility but having a rink close to home would be a dream. I believe it woukd be the best thing to happen to Santa Monica.

I am signing this in hopes of bringing back ice skating and hockey to the Santa Monica neighborhood. This is a great outlet for the youths of the West LA area.

This is the best thing that can possibly happen to this city. Please, make it happen for goodness sake.
