Fadi Hindi grew up in Isleworth, UK. On a visit to Iraq he met and fell in love with Marleen. This summer Fadi and his family went to Iraq for his wedding. On the wedding night IS attacked and they fled for their lives leaving everything behind . Everything including the required documents to apply for the bride to come to UK.
They went to the British embassy in Erbil. Unfortunately, the Embassy had to refuse Marleen's application for a visa to enter the United Kingdom as she was unable to produce the required documents. Having fled in fear for their lives the last thing on their minds was to gather together the required documentation. Unable to go back and obtain those documents as their hometown is now under IS control they are stuck, and Fadi feels unable to return to England leaving behind his newly wed Marleen.
Any help/support/ suggestions for their safe return would be greatly appreciated. Please join Facebook group Bring Home Fadi and Marleen for progress reports and further information.
Some suggestions have been:
1.Put Fadi in contact with a British or UK immigration lawyer.- Done
2. Support the issue with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Home Office.
2. Contact anyone who can provide a work/study invitation for Marleen.
All costs paid.

What a joke the embassy is. Fadi is a good guy and they need to sort this out right now.
GET HIM HOME!! common sense needs to prevail here, the poor lad just wants his wife by his side.
this is so sad. nobody should be treated like this when they are just trying to live their lives. hope they get back safe soon

awful news...I went to school with Fadi and he's a great lad...he doesn't deserve this...Bring him and his wife home!!Good Luck Fadi...we're all awaiting your safe arrival with your wife
