Dear Retail Properties of America, Inc.,

The residents of the local trade area surrounding the Carillon development would like to express our desires for this project.

This area has been underserved by high-quality retail, with many residents traveling outside of the county to shop and dine. This area is a gap in the regional market where these high-quality retailers can be supported with little to no other upscale establishments in the local trade area.

We believe that Carillon is well positioned to be an entertainment district of sorts for central Prince George’s county much like National Harbor is for the southern part of the county. We believe that Carillon retailers should be ‘attainable luxury’ tenants that will be an upgrade on what is currently available in the area.

We know that there are many factors that go into retailers making a decision on where to locate their next outlet. We hope that the desires of the community that will be supporting the Carillon development will be one of those factors as well.

Retailers the local community would like to see included in the Carillon project include:

Grocers: Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Trader Joe’s

Home furnishings: Crate & Barrel, Cost Plus World Market, The Container Store

Entertainment: Lucky Strike, Bowlmor, Punch Bowl Social

Table Service Restaurants: The Cheesecake Factory, Founding Farmers, Pappadeaux, Maggiano’s, Matchbox, Eggspectation, Tara Thai, Copeland’s of New Orleans, The Brass Tap, Clyde’s, Legal Sea Foods, Mimi’s Cafe, Brio Tuscan Grill, Yard House, Texas de Brazil, Paladar, California Pizza Kitchen, Ruth’s Chris, Stoney River.

Also a restaurant from these local restaurant companies: Think Food Group, Neighborhood Restaurant Group, and Great American Restaurants.

Fast Casual Restaurants: &pizza, Chopt, Sweetgreen, District Taco, Corner Bakery Cafe, Nando’s Peri Peri, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Potbelly, Blaze Pizza, Mezeh, Sushi Jin Next Door

Fitness: Pure Barre, Orangetheory

Fashion: Zara, H&M, LIds

Other: Total Wine & More

Sincerely,

Wali Muhammad & the residents of Prince George's County

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this is gathering. This is entirely due to you taking the time to lend your name to the cause because I never imagined this would reach so many people.

This caliber of retail and restaurants are absolutely necessary. My age group (30s) would love to pour money into neighborhoods we have purchased property in versus taking our dollars to other areas of the DMV.

Hi quality retail, restaurants and entertainment venues are long overdue in this community. Let’s keep our buying power in Prince George’s County by providing the services that many are traveling to surrounding counties to get

Our county needs quality restaurants and shopping. Currently I only sleep and pay taxes in the county, I’m outside of the county for EVERYTHING else. This makes no sense. We need quality retail ASAP!

We need high scale retail and restaurant not liquor stores, nail shops and beauty supply places.

It would be nice to spend my money in my county. Driving far and wide for certain restaurants is an inconvenience!
