Chris Cox, Facebook’s chief product officer, also clarified that the website’s policy has never required users to be listed under their legal names. “The spirit of our policy is that everyone on Facebook uses the authentic name they use in real life,” Cox said.

Please give Granny Goodwitch's Facebook page back to her. She is a real person with a large following. Honestly there are so many pages you could take down created by fictitious people but Granny Goodwitch really is a real person, author and doesn't deserve this.

This is ridiculous! Granny is one of the reasons I'm on Facebook. Bring her back or I'm out.

This is ridiculous. Go ban all of the sexual, violent, or crime promoting pages and leave good ones like hers alone.

Let Granny Goodwitch keep her profile. She's not hurting anyone, and besides, many people on FB are using false names. Why pick on someone who is doing only good?

This is ridiculous. New policies have caused many who worked hard to build their followings lose them because they don't PAY to be promoted. They're not real enough for whatever unknown entity behind a monitor at Facebook. Not to mention Facebook deciding who and what should show up in the timeline among various other things. Now this?! Once again something that was enjoyable is being ruined.

This woman is fantastic and has done a lot of good. So what if she wants to use an alias??? She wants to stay safe and keep her public life separate from her private life! That's TOTALLY reasonable for anyone... especially someone with as much exposure as she has. She is a real person who has helped and inspired real people... let her be who she is. Granny Goodwitch!!!
