She always brings wonderful news articles, today's top news, and never has a bad thing to say about anyone. Additionally, she is Anne Rice's (author) Science Editor and friend. How can Facebook deny her, her right to send a loving message to everyone, every day?
See, Facebook has a policy that you must use your "real" name. To everyone in the community, including her friends, family, and even her children, she is known as "Granny Goodwitch." Granny is an important member of my community. She is a mentor and leader as well as a source of religious knowledge that those of us in the Pagan community rely on. It is like removing our priest and saying she's not worthy of her congregation.
I have 2 FB accounts. one with real name that's professional and hardly used. the other is with a pen name where I have my friends and interests, because I too am pagan and have no idea what might offend employers, so I keep my personal life separate.
Facebook, you were convinced, and rightly so, that Drag Queens needed the protection of an anonymous name on their pages. In today's society, so do Witches. Please realize that she needs to keep her public persona and her private life separate. Thank you.
Granny Goodwitch is as much a business brand as she is a person, so her "brand" is quite real. FB doesn't ban Verizon or NY Times, does it? Besides, think of the best selling authors out there who have pen names. Eloisa James is still on FB, isn't she?
I understand the intent of the rules FB, and so must you! She is not using the fake name for fraudulent or malicious purposes. And everyone who follows her knows that "Granny Goodwitch" is not her real name. Let's use a little logic here, please.

As stated in the description, it's ok for The United States Post Office, and I see many obvious pseudonyms on FB. Is it because of the word "witch" in her name? If so, shame on you. If it is a "policy", It shouldn't be a selective one. Bring Granny back!
