I am about to lose my main account do to this real name nonsense. I believe I speak for the entire Second Life Community when I say, let us have SL avatar accounts! I have an account under my "real" name, but that's just for the few "real" people I know, and family, most who do not understand my Second Life, my friends from around the world who all mean more to me than any so-called friend in RL (real life). Except for the man who married me in SL and then moved from OK to OH to be with me in RL. We are both looking for jobs and with prospective employers looking to social media to get more information on you before they think to call you I believe it a good idea to keep my serious job seeking self and my fun loving open minded avatar separate. FB means to take this away. It doesn't matter to them that my SL Avatar is more my real self than the boring lonely human portrayed in my "real" FB page.

FB needs to dump this ridiculous "authentic name" bs for everyone. It has nothing to do with security, and everything to do with them selling your info. GGW, and every other person that doesn't go by their birthname, and many that do are being punished for no reason.

This would never happen to someone of a mainstream belief system, which by the way is recognized by the Supreme Court and US Military.
Facebook hates Wiccans, witches and Pagans? I know you are a business and FB users are simply commodities but guys the entire experience is no longer fun. It's like having a phone. But really hate when it rings.

Hoping that FB hears your plea! I too, lost my page for a time, as my real name is not Cricket Sings, even though there are many in this world who only know me as "Cricket". FB forced me to prove my identity and use my full legal name, which is offensive to me, as that name was once said in derision and as an indicator of impending abuse. But, I needed to be back on FB as I use it as a sort of office place to co-ordinate events that I help to run. Better luck to you, Granny Goodwitch, in getting your name and your photos etc back! I feel your frustration. Blessed Be.

I believe, if someone is well known by a pseudonym they should be allowed to use it on face book.
There has to be a good compromise here.

I find it appalling that you continue to harass this wonderful person over something so silly. There are much worse people and bigger problems on your site that you should be paying attention to and dealing with.
