This is really becoming beyond ridiculous!
Not all of us were born to a name that we truly identify with. Some of us have creative personas that are dedicated to our crafts, our beliefs or our lifestyles. Why is that considered any less valid than the name on our birth certificates?
We have the right to live our lives as the people we truly believe we are and Facebook should not be so pathetically anal about it. Especially when they refuse to remove explicit porn, child porn rings and other things that are far more dangerous and important than what name we choose to have our Facebook account listed under!
Leave people to be who they are when they are helping and not harming.

Apparently you'll delete accounts for no rain, yet well not delete a posting that was threatening and at a time of grieving. I don't know who your people are but there's a good amount of times that they're idiots. Way to go FB

I adore Granny. As a fellow witch, I've only been out of the broom closet for a few years, and I completely understand the need for privacy and pseudonyms. In addition to Granny being allowed to use her pseudonym, there are many Native Americans who aren't allowed to use their real names because their names aren't anglicanized. This name discrimination is wrong, if you want to have social media for all people then it's time to stop discriminating on the basis of something as ridiculous and superficial as names.

Don't require actual names on accounts, or give an option to choose name on page. Facebook only helping stalkers and it not stopping terrorists. They will just make a fake name. It's not like fbk verifies id with the government. Considering all the porn you let people post and make viewers go thru a ringer to remove from their pages you just look like a big hypocrit
