This policy of Facebook's is just stupid and cruel. There are a multitude of (good) reasons people would use a pseudonym on social media. Artists, employees who want to (or have to) keep their social life separate from their work life, people being bullied (online or in person) etc. Please, don't only give the beloved Granny Goodwitch her page back, drop this policy in general!

Who cares if its your real name. My fiance goes by a nickname because he hates his first name. Why make it a big deal when its not hurting anyone.

Facebook wants you to use the name people know you by, but then demands you show THEM legal ID to prove it. This policy is highly suspicious - no social media site has any right (in my opinion) to your legal data. Not to mention that many people, online and off, may actually know a person by their online, NOT legal name. The real name policy is a bad idea and needs to end now.

Facebook has become a huge pain for a lot of people, including my best friend who went through this same mess, because she chose to use her professional title instead of her real last name on here. Facebook's rules have become petty, and is much less user friendly. It's kind of sad how far down hill the network has gone actually.
Restore her account! This is no different than other facebook friends creating "nicknames" to avoid being harassed by strangers and their jobs. She is a real person who merely went by a nickname. If she can't have a page, then any "Alexandra"s or "Alexanders" who go by "Alex" on facebook should be removed for using a nickname instead of their "real name".

I was not originally subscribed to Granny's page before hearing about this- but I had heard many good things about her through following Mrs. Anne Rice's page and I think it's an outrage to take down the page of someone who goes out of their way on a daily basis to help others through social media. If you have to take someone's page take away the git's who use their pages to harass or make others unhappy you twits!

Stop policing beloved writers because they have pseudonyms. Beyond interfering with your marketing lists, banning her and abolishing her FB page serves no purpose.
