My longtime friend of 41 years lost her FB page 6 weeks ago because she used her real name initials. This friend of mine had her FB pg for 8 long years and it just vanished as Granny's did. I think itis time Facebook recognized the difference between being intentionally deceptive about ones identity and using an honest identity that differs from ones legal name.

This is just silly. Many artists, writers, and performers of all stripes have pseudonyms or a nom de plume. What's the problem FB? Can't the nerdy wunderkind figure it out?
You are doing this good woman a huge disservice as well as infuriating all those who follow her. We don't care that she uses a pseudonym; why should you? Apparently we are intelligent enough to figure it out. Et vous?

Lots of people use nicknames or pseudo names for a variety of reasons. How about deleting those who push bigotry and over the top religion.

FB needs to play fair all across the board here. I have had to turn off the "everyone can send me friend requests" along time ago thanks to FB allowing so many spamming (fake accounts) trolls to continue harassing me, and others, through the FB mail and add request function. If FB wants to close down/cut off persons who are making their website a virtual ghetto, then they need to get their priorities in order--focusing on persons who are the real policy breakers.
If Granny has been targeted by FB, then this is truly a good enough indicator to me that I should probably not trust such malicious social media "hosts" with my own sensitive personal data (on record).
