About SXSW
In last year's SXSW, Kpop had a panel and was represented by MNET COO Sang Cho, Koreaboo's CEO/Founder Flowsion Shekar, and David Zedeck from Creative Arts Agency (a talent/entertainment firm). In 2013, it only feels right that a Kpop or Korean entertainment band and/or act represent at SXSW. The representative needs to not be mainstream K-pop (Gangnam Style) but someone who can give a unique color and variety to the Kpop industry.
About this Petition
Being FNC's senior band (with 6 years to its belt), FTISLAND is best positioned to represent the Korean band scene at this prestigious event. FTISLAND's dream has always been to spread the Korean band wave overseas, and this will be a meaningful and impactful attempt at getting to that.
The application deadline to have a showcase/stage at SXSW is November 4, 2012. Primadonnas, please help us try to sign FTISLAND up for a stage at SXSW. Our petitions will be presented to FNC, after which we will work with FNC to submit the necessary forms for a showcase/stage by November 4th.
It's time to show FNC and the world that we want to see FTISLAND perform alongside great music acts and start to spread the Korean band wave. Help us get to as many signatures by October 24th!

The volume of support has shifted our approach from a general appeal to a formal proposal for the festival organizers. I am currently finalizing a letter of intent to accompany these signatures for submission to the SXSW music curation team.

PLZ BRING THEM!! i would fly to texas just for this
Been waiting for them to tour here forever. If they get on that sxsw stage so many people will finally realize how good they are.
It makes no sense to bring the same acts every single year. Let the band show everyone that kpop isnt just dancing and generic beats.
FTISLAND is honestly so underrated outside of asia. they need more exposure in the states and this is the perfect place for them.
They would kill it in austin! honestly tired of seeing the same viral pop songs everywhere. give us real talent for once.
