After the disbanding of infamous American grunge band Nirvana in 1994 due to Kurt Cobain's tragic passing, Dave Grohl went for a long break away from music, wanting to get away from what happened to his bandmate and close friend. He didn't even want to see the name Nirvana during his break. That very break ended after he received a postcard from another band who lost a member, and that made him go back to the studio and compile demos of songs all written and performed by himself. Those demos became the debut album of American alternative rock band Foo Fighters, which was released on July 4, 1995.

January 20, 1996 was the first (and currently last) time that Foo Fighters came to the Philippines for a band festival alongside Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth.Everyone had a great time at the show, and most of people who came to the show can still remember the fun time they had in there.

It's already 2012 as of this writing, and the Foo Fighters have consistently released 7 best-selling albums, Grammy Award nominations and victories for their hit singles and albums, have gained a massive fan base from people who love their old hits down to the younger generation, and have sold out numerous arenas all over the world. And recently, they granted Brazil a rock show after years of Brazilian fans begging for them to come back after 10 years. But not even once they came back to the Philppines for another rock show.

Some people have told that some of the major concerts/events production companies are not interested. A few people have even told that they even "refused" to come back here, and one of the reasons is something that involved cockroaches backstage. But whatever their reason for not coming here is, we,the Foo Fighters fan base in the Philippines, can't take it anymore.

This is a petition for concerts/events production companies and possible sponsors to organize and set up a Foo Fighters show that should happen from hopefully as early as 2012 or beyond. We,the Foo Fighters fan base in the Philippines,really want to see the Foo Fighters live and all in their now-arena rock glory, so this is hard evidence of how many people want to see them in the flesh. Hopefully this petition gets 10,000-25,000 signatures.

Note: Dave Grohl and company, if you are reading this, we really want to see you guys have a show in here. No more cockroaches on our current top arena, the Smart Araneta Coliseum, and we will be having a new and better arena in SM Mall of Asia Arena, which looks totally grand for an arena rock band like the Foo Fighters. Please grant our wish... please.
