We strongly encourage the Bishop to return Father Joe to Blessed Sacrament as soon as possible and here are some of our many reasons:
1- Look at the Fruit of his Labor - Over 50 years of exceptional service to God, the Catholic Church, and the Community. Father Joe has worked tirelessly to serve all three
2- The Growth of Blessed Sacrament - not only has the congregation grown but Father Joe has inspired us to participate in our faith and serve others
3- His Homilies - we look forward to his inspiring message that brings scripture to present life and is pertinent to our spiritual growth
4 - His Service to those in need - the NEST program, those in jail, the Barry Robinson Center, and many that go unnoticed.
Blessed Sacrament is not complete without Father Joe
Please give him the respect he desires

If they are not charging him with anything then give him back his Parish. We need to stop accusing people and punishing them on rumors. If the people stand by his side so should his Bishop.

My nephew was having troubles and only father Joe made him feel good he came to his games and was on the up-and-up one of my nephews cheerleaders I appreciate it

I spent 24 years in the Navy Dental Corps and have met many
priests and some were good but let me tell you Father Joe is one in a million.
We live only one block from Sacred Heart Catholic church and attended there for 15 years until we had the good fortune to attend Mass at Blessed Sacrament and heard one homily from Father Joe and decided at once to become members of Blessed Sacrament.
For many years I brought Holy Communion to patients in the hospital and I cannot tell you how many patients, who were not members at Blessed Sacrament, knew of Father Joe and how wonderful he is.
Father Joe has done many things for our parish and now we even have a camera in the church and the 10:30 AM Mass is available to all who are unable to attend Mass.
Please allow Father Joe to return to us we all miss him very much.

Having Father Joe as our pastor has been a blessing for our church. He is passionate about his vocation and brings his parishioners closer to Christ. He connects with us, listening to and addressing our needs. I pray for his return.

We miss and want our Pastor back . Father Joe means the world to Blessed Sacrament . He is a kind and giving person. He was there for me , when my husband passed away after we had just moved in the area . Those things you never forget Thank you.

I have known father Joe since I was in middle school and he has not only been a positive part of my growth through the years but a part of my family as a whole, showing up to almost every big family event I can think of. My family is only one of the many that make up our church community and I can only imagine how many other families he has been a positive influence for as well.

Fr Joe has led and helped to build this parish to where it is today. Whenever there is a Bishop’s Appeal the goal is more than achieved, and weeks ahead of time. The parishioners listen to him and support him. It would be hard on another priest at this time to try to replace him. If Fr. Joe comes back nd fails then it would be on him and another priest would find it much esier then to come in nd move forward with the parish. In the Hampton Roads area Fr. Joe has the respect of many. He , the parish, and the diocese remain in my prayers.

I feel so bad for Fr. Joe. He was born to serve the Lord, He was born to help the community. Let's continue sending him some letters and anything else to help him return immediately. He must be really depressed not doing what he loves. I'm so worried about him. I hope his family, friends and the community are there for him. And he gets professional help too.
