My 33 yr old son Christopher who has Intellectual Disabilities especially looks forward to seeing Fr Joe every Sunday. All I can really tell him now is that Fr Joe is “still on vacation.” After so many weeks this doesn’t even make sense to Chris who’s looking forward to making his First Communion soon!?! Chris was baptized by Fr Joe in 2011 and received important nurturing for his special needs before and since and this this breaking my family’s heart that Fr Joe is missing from our weekly spiritual lives. Please bring him back!

My heart is breaking as I watch my parish disappear as a result of our beloved priest not being aloud to give mass. Over the last decade Blessed Sacrament has grown to include over 1,000 families, this is a direct result of Father Joes ministries. I feel Father Joe is being treated unfairly and his well being and the well being of our church community is not not being consider by the church hierarchy.
Please I’m also having difficulty explaining to my children, who adore Father Joe, what is happening. Please return Father Joe to Blessed Sacrament.

As we begin this semester of Edge, we will miss Fr Joe’s presence and support. It is important for our youth to continue to have the positive interaction with the Priest they have known for so long.

Please answer all our prayers, and return Fr. Joe to Blessed Sacrament. We all love, support, admire, value, need and miss him greatly here. He is such a wise, honorable, dedicated, personable, and highly engaging pastor. Blessed Sacrament has thrived under is leadership. In the past ten years alone, we have expanded the social hall, chapel and built a second floor to accommodate all the new parishioners who have have flocked over to us from other parishes. They come for the same reason we all stay. Because Fr. Joe's highly regarded reputation throughout our community. My daughter and I converted to Catholicism nine years ago, after she attended Vacation Bible School, because of him. We became members, and I started RCIA that fall. A year later I started teaching the 4th grade, and the children's faces light up on Sunday mornings as he makes his rounds to all the classes to say good morning. Fr. Joe also allowed my Girl Scout troop use of the facilities for our weekly meetings for the past eight years, which we appreciated greatly. I personally, have never felt as comfortable and welcomed at any other church I previously attended, as I do here. Blessed Sacrament is our spiritual home, and we need our beloved shepherd Fr. Joe returned to lead his flock.

Having known Fr. Joe more than 13 years as a pastor and friend, I can confidently say that he has always had the best interests for the parishioners and youth within Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church as well as the community! He is not only a spiritual leader to my family, but also a dear friend. My children have grown up around him and consistently tell my wife and I how much they love him. To keep him from the parish is a disservice to the community. Please, reinstate him to Blessed Sacrament!

Father Joe is a great man, and I enjoy every time he has Mass and guides me in Confession. The punishment of suspension does not reflect the wonderful personality that he has.
