I honestly couldn't agree more with this petition, it's a topic that I care deeply about. We were born with legs to wear pants and pants we shall wear. It upsets me when I see little year 7 boys on the oval in shorts clearly freezing their smooth legs off. I want to go up to them and tell them everything's going to be okay, but I'm afraid one of the older boys like Trent will hurt me. I've also been afraid to wear trackies myself, and now banning them has made me feel isolated and a minority. Everyone, if you feel in the same boat and myself, you're not alone. I will be having a trackies protest today in the Library at lunch time, I would love for you all to join me and put an end to this madness. I promise, there will be a day when I don't need to have a cry about trackies. Warm fabric is what gets me up in the morning, and up at night time, (when I'm feeling a bit lonely).

We need tracksuit pants back !! And our students need them now !! It's bl$&dy cold living in the Hills without having to go to a School that has a heating Problem in most class rooms

We should also change the sock rule. The point of a uniform is to have people look and feel partor esc, as well as bullying and judgment from the out side. How does socks change this?

I think we should have trackys or even be able to bring doonas to school cause I get really cold and I think it's making my penis get smaller, I looked up on the internet why is my penis so small and it said because it's cold in winter. I think the best option for us is to keep our privates warm so nobody else gets a smaller penis and goes through the issues that I have been and it makes me learn less cause I'm constantly worried about girls seeing a outline of my little willy in those silly school pants I have to wear.

I have spent over $200 re doing uniforms YES BRING BACK WARMTH ! And have the money back for the schools stuff up?

I appreciate all the positive changes Miss Doble is making at ESC, with the one exception; the exclusion of allowing students to wear track pants in winter. As we hills residents well know, it is freezing up here during the winter months & to expect students to stay warm in skirts with tights or shorts is ludicrous. As a result of being exposed to the cold weather, an unfortunate consequence may be that student attendance drops significantly due to illness as a result of inadequate protection & warmth. This will not only negatively affect the school but also the students themselves & their families too. Surely our school can find & implement a trackies option that looks respectable, is reasonably fashionable, financially affordable & above all else, WARM!!

It's not like the students are trying to get free or uncontrolled dress, they just want to wear what they've always had in the approved uniform, what keeps them warm and what they feel confident/comfortable in.
Why is the school trying to be controlling and inconsiderate of the students thoughts. Can't be a positive educational environment if the new school principal thinks this is a priority matter. Sounds like a dictatorship. I thought schools were supposed to make students feel comfortable and provide an encouraging environment, not try to alienate them.
Wonder if the principal will be repaying the parents for the track pants recently purchased.

About time this has been brought to attention time to realise this is a public school NOT private!!!
We live in the hills its freezing up here why be so concerned about something that was once a part of uniform ? I thought the kids looked smart in this uniform.
