This is necessary for people who have their cars tuned to use E85.

Came across this while browsing and figured I'd sign. Around 07 the first e85 pump showed up in my state (MA) and since then a few more showed up. Unfortunately the stations are all around 20-30 miles from me but since 09 I still go out of my way to fully fuel all my vehicles on this fuel. I converted my daily driver 09 civic Si to e85 and have been running it almost full time for 60k miles. I would love to travel to more places where E85 is available, but unfortunately it is unavailable in many places I'd love to visit. I support any measure to make this fuel available to more people who need it, and to give an option to those who don't want to burn gasoline.

I'm in the fuel business so I can tell you why this is unlikely to happen in the near future. The majority of the public still wants less ethanol in their tank, even if they have a Flex Fuel vehicle. Also you need specialized equipment to dispense it, you can't just use existing pumps for E85 and the tanks may not be compatible either. This equipment is expensive which pushes return on investment way out. Most of the E85 stations you have seen around are there because of subsidy programs most of which have expired. I'm a car enthusiast also and I understand the desire to have E85 near the Dragon but it isn't going to be very convincing for the retailers to invest in. A number of them have non ethanol premium which is still fairly easy to get, I'm sure they feel they are accommodating most of the Dragonslayer's with that.

All for it. This is one of those little things that will help continue bringing more tourism dollars into the Graham County area.
