Pickle Ball has become a great sport for everyone. The retirement group need to stay fit, and this is a great option for them! Please consider keeping some pickle ball courts to keep the community, even Winter Texans, fit! Thank you.

My husband and I are winter Texans and avid pickleball players. We own a condo in Rockport, and really enjoy playing here as opposed to going into Port Aransas or Corpus Christi. There is a large group of players here, and several well maintained, dedicated pickleball courts would be a real asset to this community.

I am a winter Texan and I have enjoyed playing pickleball at Rockport high school. I have also played all over the country. Pickleball is one of the best ways to highlight an area, and you already have a great group of players that does a fantastic job of being a beacon in rockport. Please support your resident pickleball players with the highschool court idea. I think you will find that an active pickleball community will be an asset to drawing more economic activity to Rockport Fulton area.

Pickleball is a great way for all ages to get off the couch and get active. Please do not force us to have to play in Corpus. On our trip there we can eat out and shop but we would rather keep our spending in Rockport.

Pickleball is family friendly, inexpensive and it’s structure is very social. It is the perfect activity to get people of all ages moving to promote a healthy lifestyle physically and emotionally. It would help with tourism since people are planning vacations based on where they can play Pickleball. Just see what Florida has done.

One of the reasons we purchased a home in Rockport, TX was the fact there is an established Pickleball community. It's a sport for all ages which needs a Court/s Home.

I would love to see dedicated courts in Rockport. Even Victoria has embraced Pickleball in their FIT VICTORIA Sr's program, instituted by the city.
I think the bigger picture would be to have 8 dedicated courts. With such, Rockport could host sanctioned tournaments thus bringing in new revenue, e.g., hotels, restaurants, stores, etc.
We'd be the only place on the Tx coast to have such!

The addition of pickleball courts is such an important decision for Rockport to make.
The sport is literally booming around the United States. Looking at many cities in Texas alone will prove this fact.
When people come to Rockport, they’re looking to play, and they find sub-par facilities.
As I’m sure you know, we have a local RV Park that has put a pickleball court in as a result of their residents wishes.
Rockport does an excellent job of bringing in revenue in the way of many festivals. We’re looking for 4 we’ll-made pickleball courts, but if you decide to make the smart move, you will consider at least 8-10, so that we can host tournaments. Now, THAT would bring a whole host of people to this fine city‼️
I was born and raised here in Rockport. From what I’ve learned and witnessed since being involved in the sport for 2 years, this is an exploding opportunity‼️

On a personal level, I love Pickleball and I love wintering in Rockport. I truly believe dedicated Pickleball courts would be an asset to the community as the sport continues to grow. Dedicated courts would also boost the tourism economy. As the fastest growing sport, people, like myself, are looking for Pickleball courts/clubs to enhance travel plans. The community of Pickleball players in Rockport are extremely welcoming and helpful. With dedicated courts and their enthusiasm, Rockport could become a favorite destination for Pickleball players.
