I'm a senior that's new to this sport. A dedicated place to play would benefit Rockport residents and our friends the Winter Texans who contributes tme and money to our town. The sport is an excellent form of exercise. Come out and see for yourself.

This past winter was my first time as a winter Texan. Playing Pickleball and meeting a great of people who play make my time in Rockport even more enjoyable. I hope to return next winter and hope by that time you have dedicated facilities for the rapidly growing sport of Pickleball.

Pickleball is growing and will only continue to grow as a sport for people of all ages. Dedicated courts are needed. Just do it!

Rockport has the opportunity to be a premier pickleball destination for retires and Winter Texans. It has become a desired amenity in both vacation resorts and residential communities. It’s a perfect fit with our fishing and birding and could provide a financial boon with local tournaments if there is a nice enough facility.

Dedicated Pickleball courts are needed for the growing group of players. Some schools are now teaching Pickleball. It would be great for the community .
