We are going to be winter texans this year. Staying in a RV Resort in Rockport and a large reasons was access to pickle ball courts. I am a board member of our community center in Eureka Springs, AR and pickle ball is a huge part of our recreation opportunity and plan to expand our current 3 courts. Great investment into your community.

Very popular sport not just for the older generation. They are teaching it in schools now across the country. Great exercise and way to meet and make new friends.

Please save the tennis courts that we play pickle ball. One if the reason we come here in the winter is to play pickle ball.

We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue allowing the community to play Pickleball on your courts. It promotes family and senior fitness and provides a wonderful collaboration between community and school. Thank you.

We enjoy Pickleball as winter Texans. The current location and local Pickleball club is one of the reasons we return annually.

My wife and I are first time winter Texans from NH staying in Rockport/Fulton this year. One of the criteria that we used in selecting a destination was that it included pickleball in town. On arrival, we were welcomed by a large enthusiastic pickleball community. Dedicated pickleball courts would indeed be an additional draw to this vacation area. The foundation of committed local players is already in place. Please consider supporting this project.

Pickleball has been touted as the next Olympic sport. The game can be played by all ages and is particularly popular in school PE programs and in adult living communities. According to our Chamber of Commerce, Approximately 5,000 Winter Texans come to our City to spend and enjoy our area over the winter. They also spend an average of $50 per day per person to be here. It is estimated that they stay here 2-4 months. That means that they are spending 15-30 MILLION dollars to be here during that time! We need to keep them within our city limits with more active public venues besides fishing walking, shopping and dining out. Converting the five dilapidated tennis courts on the corner of Enterprise and Stadium Drive into 10-13 pickleball courts is a great fit for Rockport's nationally known reputation for it's diverse combination of activities. This past winter we had all the usable space in play with winter texans and we play an average of 3-4 times a week for at least 3 hours a day. Please support our effort to make Rockport an even more inviting destination to stay. My husband and I have moved to Rockport from IL permanently and are proud to be part of rebuilding this community to it's fullest potential Thank you for your consideration.

Pickleball is one pathway to improved health. Being in the fresh air and sunshine and playing with friends is a major benefit for all, especially older adults. Let’s make Rockport Tx a hotspot for those seeking a place to play Pickleball.

It would give active seniors another option for exercise in Rockport area. It could also help the area economically as many people choose an area to stay where they have the option to play pickleball. With a complex it would be possible to host tournaments and that means money coming to the Rockport area.
