The momentum behind this push is undeniable and it proves that the Kootenays are tired of being ignored. Costco executives need to stop stalling and start paying attention to the thousands of us who are demanding better retail options right now.

We go to Costco in Kalispel as it is the closest for us. We definitely could support a Costco with the surrounding towns of Creston, Kimberley, Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford, and the Columbia Valley the numbers would be high enough to support. .
Would love to not have to drive 5 hours to go to a Costco or have to purchase (and find room to store!) 6 months of supplies at a time because driving the roads in winter is too dangerous. I'd be a weekly shopper for sure!
We have the available land and quite a few communities that would come here to Castlegar rather than drive all the way to Kelowna. A few years ago they asked people to reply via computer but not everybody has a computer. We would definitely prosper by a Costco here.
Cranbrook and creston seems to have large family's. Having a Costco would benefit them on the cost of food, provide employment operatunities, increase tourism, keep money close to home. Less people would travel to alberta or the USA to go to Costco.
We are Costco members. The closest one is a 3 hour drive away, it's in the U.S. Not feasible to shop with the devalued Canadian dollar. The closest Canadian Costco is a 4 hour drive. Would certainly shop a lot more at Costco if it was closer (the Kootenays)
Yes! To Build a Costco to serve the East Kootenays
A Costco in Cranbrook would be ideal…..I drive all the way into Alberta to shop at Costco.

Cranbrook is the perfect place for a Costco! As the centre of the Kootenays, it would draw people from Fernie, Invermere, Sparwood, Kimberley, Creston, Salmo, Castlegar, Nelson, Trail & Rossland as well as the Cranbrook locals.
