Seems like an excellent opportunity for Northside/Earlysville residents to enjoy local brews and experience some of the cultural and economic benefits these businesses provide. Adventure Farm/Chisholm needs a brew counterpart to their small winery for us beer lovers. I’m happy to welcome champion to the neighborhood. It also would open the reservoir to those who appreciate its beauty but who are not into water sports. A suggestion? Shuttle service to Hollymead and/or Forest Lakes (if feasible) would alleviate some fears about drunk driving on Earlysville Road and bring a “walkable” element to a tucked away location.

I live within a mile or so of the site and STRONGLY support Camp Champion. It will be wonderful to have a nearby place to go with family and friends. The traffic pattern/ changes will be better than it was when the Church was there.

NIMBYs need to get the facts. I have talked to supporters of Champion who are neighbors of the site and they are afraid to speak because the rancor of the naysayers is so evil.

I live a few miles from this site and I am in favor. As is everyone else I've talked to. The crazy rumors of runoff, motorcyle gangs, traffic being worsened, and loud music is all insanity. We all read the Daily Progress article where the brewery owner states its a very small one barrel system. I am a home brewer myself, and a single barrel system is a counter top piece or machinery. It uses less water than these angry neighbors dishwashers. And it goes without saying, that customers coming and going casually throughout the day is a LOT less dangerous than when I used to drive by on Sundays and 100 cars were all leaving at once! This is foolish, and these neighbors should be ashamed of themselves. I feel bad for the County to have to listen to all this nonsense. These rich neighbors do NOT represent the real people of Earlysville. - Gary

How can these 4 or 5 rich neighbors (and their "friends") really hurt this project? I know current neighbors or King Family Vineyards are PROUD of their neighborhood winery. And home values have skyrocketed. If a few ungrateful neighbors ruin this for Earlysville they will never be forgiven. In 3 years they will be taking their grandkids there for dinner and a Ivy Creek Foundation IPA. What a shame to put this brewery thru all of this. I can assure everyone at Champion that you have Earlysvilles support. Don't let a tiny angry mob make you think any differently!

This Albemarle County resident supports Champion Brewing Company's efforts to open Camp Champion. They have already been a valuable asset to the City of Charlottesville and I look forward to the same with respect to the County.
Go Champion!!!!!!!!
