We would love for this to be allowed in Cambridge. Our family just hatched chicks and we would have loved to keep a few of them...my son got so attached and how wonderful would it be to wake up to fresh eggs. Please review this and make the change!

Preston here! While my current property doesn't have enough space to raise chickens, I would be very disappointed to have a large property and not be allowed to do so.

Chickens carry less diseases than cats, can produce food, education, responsiblity. They are not loud like a dog left in a backyard all day. They create great compost for your garden and eat tons of your compost therefore relieve our green waste bin. Changing the bylaw to allow a certain number and no rooster would be a step forward in permaculture, caring for our environment and providing a basic food to many families who want this as their pet.
