He never actually taught me but he was one of the best teachers I'd come across. No one could engage the students like he could. He was quality.

Selfless, exceptional teacher, with great banter, and the trip to the Pyrenees was just Awesome, no teacher would put themselves out that much to organise something like that these days

I can't think of many teachers who could make all students engage in his subject, regardless of who they were. We all know for a fact that he is greatly missed by teachers and pupils alike. I just hope he is restored to his post for the sake of everybody at S.Peters.

I sincerely hope that the Governors will not have the arrogance to ignore the hundreds of people who can testify to the outstanding teaching ability of Mr West. Not only a great teacher but a great man.

He was my form tutor from year 7 - 9. A very good teacher. Not much of his caliber left these days and a great loss to st peters.

Had so much time for everyone, I never had a lesson with him and yet he always made time for me and pretty much every student.

Westie is a legend! he gave up to so much of his own time for others: helped organise the climbing club, organised the Pyrenees trips, etc. etc.
