Mr West was both my form tutor and physics teacher. He was a real inspiration and took time to support me through some difficult life problems too. He was an amazing teacher in everyway.

In my short time at S.Peters Mr West was the teacher to teach me the most both in and outside the classroom. He brought Physics alive for me and lead me to doing it at University. I about to undergo my PGCE and I hope I am HALF the teacher he is.

I remember getting in quite a bit of trouble once, and even though Mr West knew, he was one of the only teachers who could look at me and talk as if it was just any other day. Everyone makes mistakes; even the twice lightning-struck Mr West. But for such an amazing teacher, and perhaps the only one who could ably teach Physics, it would be a terrible shame to see him go.

A dreadful decision! Not only has Mr West shown many years of dedicated service to the pupils of this school, he has also proved to be inspirational and in touch with their needs in a very friendly and professional manner. He has always been a very highly respected member of the staff. His work has gone beyond the classroom with many hours given up to help with extra curricular activities. Smacks of hypocrisy by the not so squeaky clean Principal.

I honestly cannot think of a better teacher when i was growing up, its as simple as that! and if there is anyone out there in the teaching profession that deserves a second chance, its definitely "Westy"! Great teacher, always there for anyone...and just down right hilarious.

Mr West was always one of the best teachers to get you interested and engaged with a subject. Working at a university now, I really appreciate how much he contributed to the STEM subjects and inspired so many students to pursue these subjects. We need more of him in schools to engage students on their level. We certainly don't need less of them!

Westy was without doubt the best teacher I have ever come across and was an inspiration and the foundation on my education since. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be where I am I am today. It's a sad day when an educator of that brilliance gets dismissed.
