I have no connection at all. But it seems a ridiculous decision to have him fired. The deciding panel should themselves take a leave of absence. Good luck.

Mr West taught me back in 1992 - his lessons were always interesting and it's great to read the comments of the students he teaches now. This was an unfortunate accident, don't let children miss out in this great teacher.

Kids at secondary school always moan that their teacher is the worst. This man has inspired generations of people and you are robbing generations more by your foolish decision.

As a former pupil and A-level student whom studied Physics because Mr West helped me loved the subject, I find this decision a disgrace. Mr West made a lasting impression on former pupils because of his love of teaching and enthusiastic to support students. People dont forget great teachers and he will always be a named remembered by pupils - don't let a freak accident ruin a man's career and spoil future generations the pleasure of being taught by an amazing teacher! I'm shocked how a great teacher from my time can be cast aside so easily but other teachers who didn't leave a lasting from their hard working nature can still remain.

As a former colleague of Richard West I know he'll be devastated at the thought of not teaching at S.Peter's and the idea he had injured a student. A great loss for the school if he were to be fired, and over such a trivial matter.

Teachers work hard and don't often get the respect they deserve! It takes someone special to make a lesson interesting particularly physics. GIVE HIM HIS JOB BACK!!
