We cant be governed by knee jerk reactions to the Media any more .Comments taken out of context .UCL needs to think a bit harder and have the courage to stand up for the right decision not just what the media deem to be right.They could have just distanced themselves from these remarks or explained them as a joke in possibly poor taste.I am a woman in science (doctor)

A person with a faked CV ends the career of a nobel laureate. Never thought this would be possible. I know how much energy Sir Tim put into projects to foster the careers of female scientists. This very bizarre lady ended it all. The reaction of UCL based on a twitter post of a liar says everything about the management of this university.

Twitter and other social networks have now brought us back to virtual drumhead executions. I am particularly furious that the original perpetrator lied on her CV and as yet receives no sanction

As a graduate of UCL, I find this episode very troubling.
Reinstate Sir Tim Hunt.. I find the whole affair shocking and cowardly
horrible hounding of a good man. The sisterhood's self righteousness knows no bounds. To see UCL act as their poodle is not edifying.
