So glad that Sir Tim was finally vindicated. Just goes to show what a few thousand sensible voices can achieve!

It is truly disturbing that toxic feminists like Connie St. Louis got away with the complete character assassination of Sir Tim Hunt, a Nobel prize award winner.
Yes, he made a tasteless joke, but that is no excuse for this monstrous act of ruining his career because she was offended; this is a grave injustice, it is atrocious, it is pathetic.
Please reinstate Sir Tim Hunt.
Freedom of speech or freedom to not offend?

Sir Tim Hunt's treatment by academic institutions and media has been utterly disgraceful. As each allegation against him has been shown to be false there has been merely a minimalist, grudging admission to falsehood by the originators of the twitterstorm against him; he deserves a complete vindication.

The world has gone mad.
We (the British) used to be renowned for our sense of humour.
The EU and is smothering open thinking, strangely similar to a certain oppressive "religious" regime.

If anything I think it demonstrates that workplaces are unsafe if feminists are around. It certainly does not motivate me to want to work around more women.

This is nothing more than gross sexism.
Apparently scientists are no longer allowed to make observations of real world experience (even in jest).

It is very disturbing that Prof. Hunt was forced to resign without any investigation into the truth of the matter. His comments were entirely harmless. I hope this works out to his benefit.

I doubt the jokes, which were taken out of context, truly reflect Tim Cook's opinion. (They do perhaps indicate that certain scientists are bad at stand-up comedy.) Tolerance for jokes that are unpopular, anachronistic, and distasteful is a sign of a free society. UCL and the ERC should not have forced this resignation.

He was misquoted. Plus, the freedom of speech that we all enjoy was broken here: "I disagree with you, but I defend your right to say what you believe"

Sir Tim Hunt must be reinstated. It is absolutely appalling that he has been treated so shabbily.
