The Tampa Bay Rays have had a great history since the inaugural season in 2008. While the look and name of the team has changed over the years, one common link has been the Devil Ray (found as a sleeve patch on the home uniforms). While the “fauxback” jerseys used for retro nights are stylish, the fact remains that there was not a Tampa Bay Rays team that existed in 1979.
However, the Tampa Bay Rays have a true retro jersey in which to use,
which was from the 1998-2001 era. We
want to see our Rays in the uniforms that were worn then, with the “Tampa Bay Devil Rays”
rainbow patch.
Please put our team in
their real, retro colors and logos!!!

PLEASE!! Stop with the fake history stuff. The 98 look is iconic and everyone knows it.
I agree, we have retro uniforms, why do we have to make one up?
