I think that this is a disgrace no consultation to remove the park is no good. When are park was removed we was kept in the loop all the way.

Can't believe they would do this to a park. Should put one back up and make it a bigger and better one for upset all the kiddies!!!

This park has needed replacing for years. But to totally take it away is not fair! That massive field needs a nice park on it!

I live in the village and we need somewhere within walking distance to go to have a quick swing and slide. Within Grove is too far for little legs. We'd love a park!

Disgraceful, taking away what little outdoor activity there was in Huncoat Village. Children need outdoor play more than ever these days! Hang your heads in shame Hyndburn Borough Council!

Why why why!!!? I am 54 years young and there has been a park on the field at the back of Station Rd/Lowergate Rd since before I was born!!! In a secure environment. Where all the parents from all the houses on both roads can keep a watchful eye out on our village children. So what is it? Now children make their way to the nearest park which is approx 1 mile away! We want our kids to be safe! You are compromising their safety by encouraging them to take the journey via main roads to reach the nearest play area. Leaving them vulnerable to RTAs and who knows what preditors lying in wait to make a snatch of any kid that attempts the journey alone!! Our kids need to be able to play freely in their own territory under the watchful eye of those who know them best!!! Just as the kids do over within grove ! ! You are not providing the proper facilities for the village kids and this needs to change!!!!

Just because the big plan to remodel wasnt acceptable to all was no justification for taking away what was!!! If it needed an upgrade it could have been carried out on the same scale.Instead its yet another example of hbc deciding what is best for the village against the villagers wishes and without care for the residents.

A community park that my children used when they were younger & now removed with no warning or replacement planned for the generations of children in the immediate area. In my personal experience the nearest park on Bolton Avenue that was refurbished is normally frequented by older teens in that immediate area and it is not a pleasant atmosphere for younger families yet this is to be 'extended' ?

This is in the village that was brought up. although I no longer reside in the area, where are children expected to socialise and play???! a basic necessity for some children and families.

I can't believe this isn't there anymore. Huncoat is full of kids that need places to go and enjoy.

We had many years of fun on this park, the little ones of today and the future should have the pleasure as well. Going over to the Estate side sometimes isn't an option......

There's been a park here for as long as I can remember, the children need somewhere to play! Taking it away is disgraceful.
