Until recently, Kellogg's Protein Plus cereal (aka low carb lifestyle) was one of the best cereals available for those seeking to manage their weight, maintain steady insulin, or supplement their diet with protein and vitamins they weren't getting from other sources. It was low in calories, high in fiber, and delicious. Unfortunately, Kellogg's decided to change the formula. While the original formula had 10 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and only 100 calories, 2 grams of sugar, 14 grams of carbs. The new formula still has 10 grams of protein, but now it has 120 calories, 7 grams of sugar, 19 grams of carbs, and only 3 grams of fiber per serving.
The formula was changed in the name of "better taste," prompting many consumers, many for whom this cereal was a staple in their diet, to seek a new breakfast option.
Sign this petition to let Kellogg know that you will no longer consume their products until the revert back to the original formula of Special K Protein Plus/Low Carb Lifestyle.
The momentum behind our request for the original formula is building as we approach two hundred and fifty signatures. Please consider directing others to this page so that we reach this threshold before we present our concerns to the company.

I am diabetic and special K protein plus was recommended by several of my doctors and diabetic specialists is one of the best cereals to eat. It seems that Kellogg’s is only interested in sales and not Nutrition.

Ugh!! What did you do to my cereal?! Yuck! I no longer eat Special K because the protein 'recipe' has changed the taste, texture, and nutrition to where it is no longer appealing. I had eaten it for over 10 years. So disappointing.

MANY of us depended on the original Special K Protein. Every diabetic knew about it and ate it. There is a real void since this is off the market. A little creative marketing would send sales soaring if you brought it back. What a shame that Kellogg’s made such a poor move.

I can’t believe you changed the one cereal I would eat on a daily basis that was perfect. I’m going back to eggs or protein drinks for breakfast until you return to the original formula. This is extremely disappointing.

Please bring back the original Special K Protein 10g Cereal. Same as another client, my diabetic husband choose this cereal because of the low carbs, and he actually enjoyed the taste. We will no longer purchase Special K products since they are so loaded with Sugar/higher carbs.

This is truly amazing to me that in a world of obesity, Kellogs would take off the market a healthy breakfast cereal. I bought this cereal for years and stayed loyal to this brand, but now I'm moving on to a brand that that is more health conscious of the consumer.

Very disappointed in new formula. This was my “go to” breakfast option and my gut can’t handle the new formula.
