Safe and reliable buses is what our kids need, plus lesser traffic on the road.

The bus service now is appalling and our kids deserve better efficient, reliable service

Absolutely necessary for safety of school children as the Tauranga infrastructure cannot cope with te influx of motor vehicles around the current school entrances and roads

Having to leave work to pick up my child. School buses are safe my child felt very safe with her driver last year. Mentioned him and his polite manner to me

I need to know my child can get to and back from school so that I can work. Everyday it is an unknown quantity and it creates unnecessary stress each day for the family.

My info is that this year's tender has been given to an Auckland company who had buses out of service & tendered bargain basement prices to secure (hijack?) the contract. The old company (that worked well) is now out of a job and so are many of it's employees. Go figure..............another case of profit before people, Mr Councillor?

We can't control the traffic delays (wish we could) but we can control kids being stuffed into buses and having to stand the entire journey elbowing their neighbour or holding on for dear life if bus stops in a hurry - it's simply not safe - it would not be acceptable if adults were asked to do the same. If a "free" trial is introduced, then enough "free" buses should be available. Most drivers are wonderful but some just don't care - bring back the old system please!

Agree Drag! Something needs to be done. And I totally think the children (under 16) should be free.
