I’m currently in college and I had Maxwell as a junior for his English class. Even to this day I remember his teachings and wisdom. He is a very good, comical, well respected teacher who knows his place in everything he does.

Mr. Maxwell is a fantastic teacher and coach. This repremand is outrageous. His years of teaching and being a Damn good teacher should reflect more than a overrated movie a "student" didn't like. This needs to be looked into further for the defense of Mr. Maxwell.

He never should have gotten in trouble in the first place. He turned the movie off. And we all had to sign something in the beginning stating we know that we r going to watch stuff that can be touchy. Bring max back!

Maxwell is a great human who always makes everyone laugh. He made a mistake. It’s not a reason to have someone fired. We watch way worse movies. We watch Schindler’s list in 9th grade for God sake.

I never had the privilege of being one of Maxwells students, however many of the people I grew up with did and he was always highly talked about by his students which isn’t an easy accomplishment for a teacher at Northwest. I was class of 2008 and I dropped out and got my GED in 2006. If I had more teachers like Maxwell and less of the... “type” of teachers I had, I probably wouldn’t have felt it necessary to drop out of Northwest in order to graduate on time and further my education. I had a lot of teachers who contributed to the hell that was highschool, whether they knew it or not, so the worst thing you can do is take away a teacher the students connect with. You never know what effect that will have. If it keeps even just one kid on track and one less dropout then it’s worth it. If a permission slip was signed then the child’s upset is the responsibility of the parents not the teacher.

As a former student of Mr. Maxwell it is beyond ridiculous that this man as lost his job for doing his job! Mr. Maxwell was one of the very few teachers who loved his job, took pride in it and made sure his students successed. I really hope that he is granted his job back.

Coach Maxwell was one of my cross country coaches about 17 years ago. If it wasn't for him i would of probaly wouldn't of went out for track. He is probably one of the best teachers at the high school

I have 3 children at Northwest high school and all of them attend his class. Is it amazing teacher and coach. This is absolutely intolerable. Bring him back Him back because he is an absolute asset to the school district. Anyone try to destroy his career should be ashamed of themselves

I graduated in 2006 and my mother is still a substitute for the northwest district. I had Maxwell for English and I learned a lot from him. That school needs to re-evaluate certain things because they now down to the wrong people unlike when I was in school there. I would LOVE to have a meeting where I can voice my tax payer opinion on some issues. Let him have his job back! He was a good teacher!

Maxwell was hands down one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. Even though I was not one of the best students, he knew what I had in me and always pushed me to be the best I could be.
