Too much is now corporate. Honor those who earned and deserve to be recognized not a soulless corporation.

Whilst aware times change. If established awards names are to be considered to change then replace with another prominent person and not a financial institution- just so they can get publicity

Please restore the original name of this award. The sheer arrogance of this new name erasing the legacy of Kate Greenway seems to be yet another attempt to move us in to the 1800’s.

There's much to be proud of about the Kate Greenaway Medal; style, ingenuity and expression of a gentle time all through the art of illustration. Kate Greenaway is the creator of such art and it behooves us all to recognize her essential contribution via the award in her name. Recognition of the essential contribution of her illustrations is a fundamental and an historical benefit to all.

It is shameful to replace the name of a talented woman artist with that of a controversial industrialist.

One of my dearest friends, the late Australian illustrator Gregory Rogers, was a winner of the Kate Greenaway award. Signing this petition in memory of him.

I just received a box of greeting cards with prints by Kate Greenaway so I could so easily identify her style. Her talent should be honored as it is appropriate to this award. Not the talent of someone making gross amounts of money.

The metal should remain as is. A very talented woman artist’s name and memory will be forgotten if it changes.
