A crying shame. I am 88 and have introduced my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to her work. The new name will not ring a bell with most readers

Wouldn't it be wonderful if industries and individuals would extend their generosity and brand art and even sport related projects they bankroll with the name of a relevant participant in the supported creation rather than themselves?

I’ve been a reader and library card holder for almost 70 years. The renaming of this award shows little respect for the talent and work that Ms Greenway accomplished.

Kate Greenaway was one of the illustrators who enhanced my childhood. Why has she been disappeared? Why has her significance been summarily dismissed? Who the hell is Yoto?

What an insulting and purposeless change. A corporate name means nothing, absolutely nothing except money in the corporation's pockets. This medal should be reflective of its original purpose and named as such...The Kate Greenaway Medal.
