Mr. G is essential to the music program at RMS - essential. The idea of letting him go is offensive.

This is really awful. Mr. Griffith is such an amazing and inspiring teacher who really loves what he’s doing. I will not accept this.

Mr. G. is a gift to our students and our music community. His passion for music, his job and his students shows each and every day.

My 5th grader eagerly signed up for orchestra next year at Rotolo, choosing that over other electives because he has heard how great the program is from current Rotolo students and parents. Replacing a trained and devoted orchestra teacher with a band teacher will not provide the same level of instruction for the orchestra students and will diminish the well-known quality of the Batavia music program.

Mr Griiffiths is an amazing person and teacher. He has since the day he began in our district been a role model for our kids and has inspired them to be better musicians. This is a huge mistake and one that will not be taken lightly.

I strongly disagree with the district’s decision on getting rid of Mr.Griffith and I hope I can be taught by him next year.

Mr. Griffith is an exceptional teacher with an outstanding reputation. We are incredibly lucky to have him teaching in our district. Our family participates in Youth Orchestra outside of school and every time RMS is mentioned, orchestra directors, private teachers & other music teachers have all commented how impressed they are with Mr. Griffith. It would be a hard blow to lose such an inspiring teacher! It would also hurt our orchestra program. The arts are good for psychological health, expression and brain development all vital for the well being of our kids. Please reconsider & reinstate Mr. Griffith.

STEM. Athletics. The Arts. Each has value and every student deserves the opportunity to grow and explore in areas that suits the way their brain is wired! I have one child who is very athletic and geared towards science/technology and one child who is absolutely wired toward the arts. They both deserve to have education/opportunities available to them that helps then grow in ways that make them feel like valuable contributions to society! Also, being a professional musician with a degree in music performance, a band teacher and an orchestra teacher are two very different things. One does not easily substitute one for the other, only to the detriment of the wonderful music program Batavia has boasted of for many years. This not only affects middle school programming, but will absolutely affect high school programming as well.

I will have 2 students at rms next year in the music programs! We need to keep the amazing music staff in place. RMS is known for it's music teachers and programs!

Although I did not personally have Mr. Griffith, many of my friends did and would not stop talking about how amazing a teacher and person he is!! He deserves to stay at Rotolo to help keep the music program alive

Our daughter was taught by Mr. Griffith at RMS; she is currently a freshman at BHS and is still in orchestra. Mr. Griffith is an excellent teacher and orchestra director. We are extremely opposed to this decision, and feel he should be reinstated.

I was thinking about joining orchestra in 6th grade because I’ve heard such great things about Mr. Griffith. Please keep him!
