There is a reason Batavia has been winning awards in it’s music department for the past few years and it comes down to it’s outstading teachers. It’s becoming a rarity to find teachers who encompass the qualilities of Mr Griffith. In addition to being incredibly qualified, his care and passion for his students is outstanding.
It would be a big mistake, a disservice to the Batavia school district and it’s surrounding community to let him go. I’m incredibly disappointed that this is even being considered.

The kids love this teacher so much they reached out to their extended families to get the petition signed. If you ask me, that's an educator who teaches his students, which isn't easy, and should be retained.

My son has been inspired to continue Orchestra next year because of Mr. Griffith! We need the Board to understand these types of “cutting back” in our music program is unacceptable and impacting our kids!
