He's a great teacher. My daughter is sad to hear that she won't have him next year.

I am not a Batavia resident, but three of my cousins are Batavia music program alumni. I stand in solidarity with all of the students at Batavia who feel the loss of their leader. Music is a vital part of a holistic education and I understand the value of music education, as my cousins and I have all benefited from playing various instruments in our formative years. I have never met Mr. Griffith but it is obvious he is an outstanding asset to the Batavia community and his removal from position is an injustice to him and his students.

The wonderful music program at RMS is a huge benefit to students in Batavia. Please don't defund it in ths way! An orchestra director is essential for an orchestra!

I have 2 RMS graduates, one currently in BHS and another who has graduated, along with an incoming RMS 6th grader, we have stayed in this community mainly for the stellar music program. All 3 are/have been part of the music program. Our music program is strong and draws people to our community, please look into other ways to accomplish the core instructional goal.

Music Matters. Orchestra is a specialty ensemble that requires professional knowledge and skill. Band directors are not orchestra directors.

You are hurting numerous kiddos by letting go of this teacher. My children may not be effected yet due to still being elementary age, but several my friends’ kids are effected.

Music & the arts are important to the mental health of students. Don't overwork the teachers that are already spread thin.

This is absolutely outrageous. I’ve worked with many of Mr. Griffith’s students. As a string educator, I can say that he is among the best, as are his students.
