Such a shame, orchestra kids need an orchestra specific teacher.

Mr. Griffith was a fantastic orchestra teacher at RMS. The school administration is blatantly oblivious to the gift of having him as the orchestra teacher for Rotolo. I never thought he would be laid off, and I hope he gets reinstated.

music is such an important part of so many children's lives and they should be able to have access to a teacher like Mr. Griffith.

Mr. Griffith is an incredibly talented musician and teacher. He works with youth in education in a manner that others should aspire to. His ability to motivate is amazing. The growth of the program under his lead has been impressive. Losing him would be a terrible blow to performing arts education in Rotolo and Batavia. What a shame if this were to happen.

Music is one the only ways the brain is forced to use both sides at the same time. This is not only good, but critical for student development.

Mr. Griffith is a tremendous asset to the district. This is a foolish decision.

I cotaught with Mr. Griffith for one year before he started teaching in Batavia. He is an astounding educator and a true leader. I learned so much from working with him. Students truly love being in his classroom and he genuinely cares about all of his students while giving them a quality education.
As a resident of Batavia (and a mother of a young child), it sickens me that Batavia School district is not interested in keeping high quality teachers or giving their students diverse educational experiences. Students learn though high quality instruction from educators that care!!!! A piece of technology won't ask how you are doing. A new building won't help you when you are struggling at home or with a concept. A new field won't build your confidence and teach you that you are good at something. Teachers do this everyday and I've seen Mr. Griffith do it! Learn to value your teachers Batavia School District and reinstate Mr. Griffith!!!!!

Mr. G is THE best teacher I've ever had. He is caring, kind, a good person, and a great teacher. I believe a band teacher will not be good for teaching students orchestra. Then the students would have more experience than the teacher. All in all, Mr. Griffith is the best teacher and deserves every right to stay!

Mr. Griffith is not only a music techer but he also plays (mostly) bass but also violin, viola and cello. We need a person who understands orchestra not band

BPS, come on... while we do not have a child in orchestra, I have enjoyed and proud of the quality of the program.

It wouldn't be fair to any of the students or Mr.Griffith if he was fired when he is the only orchestra teacher
this is not fair to all the kids in orchestra
This is a terrible example Rotolo is showing and I hope other school districts do not support this thinking
Such a shame, orchestra kids need an orchestra specific teacher.
