Having a DOP annual conference is essential for our industry so we can create and maintain business links, develop members, and ensure our profession is influential and relevant. We, as members of the Division of Occupational Psychology, call on our membership body to reinstate the annual conference for the 2024 season.
I have spent the last few days talking with colleagues who feel the same professional isolation that I do since these meetings stopped. It is clear that the lack of this gathering is eroding the strength of our community. I am currently preparing a formal proposal to present to the board about why we need this space back.

Seeing this level of backing confirms that my fellow professionals feel the same void I do regarding our lost community space. The momentum behind our request for the conference shows just how vital these connections are to the future of our work.

I always find value in the conference. After a few years of a lack of F2F contact, it must be time to get back together and focus on what matters to OPs.

DoP conference was a great event full of interesting research content and was accessible to many. Please bring it back!

The DOP has been so well attended in the past, and has served to bring through so many graduates into the discipline. It should be a top priority of the BPS to resume the annual conference.

The last DOP conference I attended was so valuable and helped me connect with so many other people whilst I was studying. It would be amazing to bring this back and share it with my fellow alumni and the new students on the program to help us connect

I am so sad to have no conference. How can we network and see what our peers are up to? Conference is an essential part of professional practice and CPD. Please bring it back for us!

Such an important event to connect with colleagues; particularly in an industry where many of us are independent - building professional relationships is integral. With CPD being a focus for the BPS, this seems like an obvious plan.

I agree with previous comments, if there is no DOP conference then what is the point of continuing my BPS membership?
