At the beginning of the school year, most of the seniors were disappointed to find out that the cove had been turned into staff parking. Although we were able to get back 30 of the spots, these reserved spots have become an issue for many students. Both the front entrance lot and the gym area lot tend to be completely full, causing students to spend extra time searching for an open spot. Meanwhile, 10-15 parking spots remain open in the staff parking area. As students who paid for the right to park at the high school, this is unfair. The location of the cove has always been convenient for students playing sports or taking classes in the gym or portables, and made it easier and quicker for students to get to school on time. The daily frustration of circling the lot reinforces why this change was a mistake for the student body. I am currently gathering accounts from those who have been late to class because of the lack of available space. These experiences confirm that we are asking for a return to a system that actually serves our needs.

Reaching this level of participation shows how widely shared our frustration has become regarding the current parking situation. It is clear that the student body recognizes the value of having access to the spaces we were promised. This momentum provides a meaningful foundation as we prepare to present our concerns to the administration.

it makes no sense that half those spots sit empty all day while i have to hike from the back lot. give it back to us.
its honestly ridiculous how many spots are just sitting there unused. open it up.
SERIOUSLY!!! i was late to first period twice this week because i couldnt find a spot anywhere. fix this.
i paid for my pass just like everyone else. why am i parking 3 blocks away while staff has empty spots right in front?
I paid for a parking pass. The UHS staff has failed to enforce the parking passes I PAID them to have. Therefore they have forfeited their rights to have the staff spots since the staff is failing to provide for the students... also they don't need all these spots
