Lots of people use this service including adults taking this bus to get to and from the train station. Also kids getting to school and the local school of dance RAD.

I think that it is completely unacceptable and residents affected by this are due compensation.

Surely all single -decker buses can get under Cremorne Bridge, including the new ones TFL have been introducing. Are the new ones bigger than the old ones (some of which are still in use and have always managed to get under the bridge?) The smell of incompetence is strong.

Please, please bring back the West bound 170 route. It serves a large, and growing, part of residential Battersea. Not to mention the businesses in the Square.

This is just not acceptable, to have withdrawn anbus service through incompetence and not checking the route. They need to alter the bus or run the old ones again

Stop mucking about with the buses.
The Boris buses were wonderful and the second generation were going to be better and cheaper

A Network Rail, local authority and tfl communication mess-up - see below response from tfl. Why it takes so long to sort out I don't know. We are always the poor relations in our part of Battersea with no tube link and dependent on our buses.
The arch in the bridge the buses take in one direction have been re-designated to a maximum height of 10’, previously it was 10’3”.
The buses recently used on the route complied with the height limit. The new ultra-low emission buses which have recently been delivered are 10’2” high at their highest point.
Although there is sufficient clearance for them to physically go under the bridge with no impact on safety, the sign makes it illegal to drive vehicles over 10’ high through the arch.
Therefore to remain legally compliant we have had to divert the route away from that section of road whilst we work with the local authority and Network Rail to find a way to allow the buses to travel under the bridge.

It is absolutely ridiculous that they have not considered the height of the new busses on the route. As mentioned, this is an extremely popular route and the diversion has caused lots of disruption!

We need the bus back , and why wasn’t we told!!!!
