The bus can fit under the bridge, the height restricts just need increasing a bit. It not like it hits the bridge.

We are regular users of this bus and we are unhappy it has been discontinued along Battersea Church Road.

Totally unacceptable. TfL cannot do this. This is our only bus route for those of us living in vicarage crescent. I cannot walk the required distance to replacement stops due to arthritis. Please reinstate old buses.

We need the 170 bus to run the route it was! It is completely unacceptable to withdraw a service without warning or consultation! Reinstate the old size buses on the route!

What makes this situation even more deplorable is that TFL are fundingoperating a shuttle bus, designated 570, for residents in Royal Hospital Rd affected by the roadworks on the embankment. Where is our shuttle-bus?

I and my family rely on this bus almost every day.

I can't understand why the service is working in one direction and not the other. Inexcusable! I use the service every day.

This is a dreadful blow to the are, and yet further inconveniences local residents who are routinely ignored by the authorities in the area. Please reinstate - as soon as possible.

How can you just stop the service with no notice

Is it beyond the wit of TfL just to divert the new busses and leave the older ones to plough the proper route? The whole fleet of 170 busses haven't been renewed

It was the only public transport going that way how is this even possible with more buildings built but less transport?!?

Did the Mayor get a backhander on this bus contract? It should be investigated.

I live in Vicarage Crescent, without a car, and the 170 bus is essential. Public transport in this area is dreadful and to remove the one form of transport is outrageous.

Please restore 170service it is so difficult for us with no service to Roehampton on Lombard Road. The bus cannot be on permanent diversion.! who measured the new buses for the route..?

I use 170 bus route regularly and find it inexcusable that due to a bus company’s inefficiency in ordering new buses too tall to pass under the railway arch I am unable to travel directly to Clapham Junction. This route must be reinstated immediately.

I use this route regularly- why was this decision made without consulting us - the paying customers?

The 170 red coach Bus is vital to the old & vulnerable living on BCRd / Lombard St. The old red coaches that go under the ‘bridge’ still exist; I saw one going east bound c 5pm today 9 Jan 18. Think positive there are alternatives eg small coaches, old coach buses made ‘green’ etc. Big green minibuses. We do not want to be forced to use our cars & go back on environmental common sense.

I am a homeowner at Althorpe Mews and I counted on this bus service so many times that I'm shocked it's been removed. Always busy throughout the week too. How can TFL just cancel it without a second thought? There was nothing wrong with the old buses, some of them were even quite new. Why can't they just give them an overhaul to make sure they're safe and continue using them?
