On July 7th, Valve released the "Meet Your Match" update. This seemed quite good as it was adding a competitive factor to TF2, but the hype quickly died down as people found out quickplay was removed.
What is quickplay, for those who don't use these baffling gaming terms?
In short, remember when you could click the "Find a game" button in TF2? You could join any server you chose, and you could easily invite friends to your game. And the matches weren't in a competitive style like they are now (with specific rounds, ranks, matchmaking, etc)? That was quickplay. It was less complex and as some say, more fun.
Anyways, now Valve has replaced quickplay with "Casual Matchmaking". What is this? It's the same as competitive (it has ranks, stats are tracked , you are matched to a specific game with similar players, ) but with different art. People liked pubs where you could easily invite friends, there wasn't any "matchmaking technology" and the gameplay in general didn't feel so competitive (for example, the new round system). If you want to bring back pubs/quickplay, sign this petition and maybe we can get TF2 back to normal.

quite exactly, all the new players made the game amazing, because they had so much to learn, and could go so far, now everyone must have 1k+ hours or you get votekicked from every server. makes no sense
I used to love tf2, and as the game slower got more and more updates this last year, the game kept pushing me closer and closer to not wanting to play, this meet your match update just killed my mood, and my love for this game. I would love to see quickplay back, and a mayhaps casual for competitive players who dont buy stuff,
I loved the quickplay and pubs and the casual wait times are too long i go AFK and eat something before i even start loading
I'm not a competitive player. When they removed pubs, it really upset me. Pubs were the bread and butter that made me love tf2.
When I heard that they were competitive I thought oh cool then I realized that the entire game was turned competitive and that took away a major part of the game.
casual mode is the worst mistake valve made with tf2
i simply want to have uninterrupted fun and not have to deal with Casual’s bullshit.

I love this gameplay and miss it dearly, please dont force us to wait in matchmaking queues because players from post meet your match want it. They never got to experience tf2 in its raw and unfiltered ways.
