The Band trip to Whistler Cantando Music Festival was cancelled. It was an experience the Senior and Jazz Band students have waited for since Grade 6! The students have been working on pieces and arranging plans as well. Now, our end of the year Grade 8 Camping Trip is also at risk of being cancelled! Sign this petition to help us save our trips once and for all!
I have been in contact with school administration to request a formal explanation regarding the removal of these traditions. The lack of transparency remains a concern for many families who value these cultural and educational opportunities.

The momentum behind this effort has grown significantly in recent days. Your collective interest demonstrates clearly how much these experiences contribute to the school community. We are now preparing to present our case to the administration with this show of support.

I went to whistler for my grade 8 year and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Please bring back the trip! The kids deserve to go

Bring Back our School trip!
As a grade 8 student, the school failed to organize a school trip that everyone already paid for, and refuse to refund. we will not let this happen again.

I don't go to summit anymore, but as a former student i know how sad I was when the over night grade 8 trip was canceled.. This is a chance to make kids feel like they are responsible and to prove to them that soon enough they are going to be old enough to go places without their parents thus it should not be taken away.

So let me get this straight
First y'all cancel the whistler band trip, which many kids have been waiting to go for 2-3 years, and many that have went to summit in the past have said it was a great part of grade 8
Next the grade 8 camping trip is cancelled, which again, lots have said it was great and is basically a tradition
And now everyone else in grade 6-7 and students that will go to summit in the future will have no overnight trips?
This is basically bashing on the innocent; is it not?

It is unfair that the school is focusing more on other things such as that new Christmas tree rather focusing on things that the students will remember for the rest of their lives

I may not be a band player, but you have to realize how many kids have waited 3 years just to go to this trip.
