Our family homeschools so we don’t usually observe “snow days.” However, we will be enjoying a break tomorrow because JOY is in short supply for kids lately. I sure hope our public schools friends can join us!
My son is an 8th grader at WMS. With so much of school being done at home since last year, I believe all of the students in the district would benefit from a traditional snow day. I also wholly support Claire for taking the initiative to organize this petition.
I feel we need snow days since by the time school is over, more than half our day is gone. I also feel like students need breaks and playing in the snow is an awesome way to do so. I wouldn't want to be cooped up inside when I have to stare outside watching the snow evaporate and melt. Snow days can always be made up at the end of the year and it will give us more time to spend with family and friends. Winter only takes place once a year and we should make the most of the snow.
We don't really have inclement weather that often. There is no need to "save" the snow days and then maybe not even get to use them! Which is what usually happens!
My kids needs a normal snow day. Nti has been overwhelming for the kids. Please bring back the snow day.

I loved snow days as a child! Watching the TV with anticipation to see if your school was closed! Those were the best! It's sad that our children don't get to experience the joys of a true snow day!!
