Hey, this is Mr. Stevenson, the past yearbook advisor at Ridgeline. For what it’s worth, the senior quote is not a Ridgeline tradition. We did not have them in the yearbook the first year. They have only been in the yearbook the last two years and even then many of the seniors chose not to do one (we had to insert random quotes for those who didn’t). Actually the majority of high school yearbooks these days do not have them in. If you want to leave a legacy, just keep being awesome students! And if you have a minute, give Mr. Stockett a donut for me.

At the start of Ridgeline, we as students had a saying, “Tradition starts with us.”, it was the year’s motto. As part of that motto students voted to have Senior quotes in the year book, it was one of many traditions that started for Seniors. Do y’all want the this year’s motto be “3 years of tradition dies with us”?

Why on the world would he NOT keep the senior quotes? What's the reasoning? I'm sure he's got some sort of explanation but really, in the long run, why would it matter to him? The school should be making all decisions based on what is best for the students, right? And it sounds like what's best for the kids is to keep the rraditoon alive.
