Thank you Julez for being so brave to share the truth. Unfortunately many of our youth have had similar experiences with Achen and choose to keep it to themselves. I know of many youths holding leadership in our diocese who have issues with Achen. I have been told of very bad political games Achen has played against multiple youth leaders. These leaders know the real Roy Achen and have decided not to sign this petition or support his return. I urge everyone who signed this to speak to those youth leaders first to hear the truth.

Roy Achen was actually a reason why I stepped away from youth conferences. He had a way of turning prayers, dedication services and worship time into jokes. He was definitely more interested in being a buddy instead of a spiritual leader to the youth in my opinion. In the San Francisco leadership conference in 2014, during a time of witnessing and dedication, he took the mike and announced the score of the playoff game that was currently going on and was celebrating how his team won...it ruined the moment. He did a similar thing in the 2015 leadership conference...When he was focused, he could be great...but he was rarely ever focused and was known to have some temper tantrums. He was like a kid who never grew up and I hope that he finds some growth in this new chapter of his life.

Don't be disappointed AA. If you are not afraid to hear the truth, try speaking to the youth leaders from those regions and you will get your answer. You might not like what they have to say but at least you will no longer be ignorant.

Why have so many youth from the Houston Region, Southeast Region, St. Johns, NY, Chicago, IL, American Born Assembly Members, American Born Council Members, American Born Executive Committee Members from all the churches and American Born Youth Leaders of the Diocese kept silent? There is a reason. Please ask them personally and you will find the truth. It is shameful to blindly support this petition.

In my opinion, let Roy Achen go wherever he wants, there was no mutual understanding between Roy achen and the Sabha leaders.
It is understanding that achen applied for an another job as a priest, so let him go and serve the lord. That being said the therumani could have solved the issue by talking the achen and praying with him.
The church leaders must learn a lesson from this issue.

Our kids are ours and don't belong to the marthoma sabha.Its is our job to bring them up in the marthoma faith and not the achens job.All achen can do is give the parents support.Please dont say its the sabas fault if your kids go after other religion. Give them a strong faith and let it come from the living rooms of your house in the form of family prayer....don't blame the sabha for your fault.

I support the comments of Anonymous.Most of the people here do not realise the luxury the marthoma church offer to these achen's who come here to serve marthoma church for 3 years ie to conduct kurubana for 144 days in this 3 years.Now Roy Thomas is a us citizen and went to the Metropolitan and asked for social security,medical expence and other benifits like he is working for an employer . When Roy Thomas was ordained he very well knew what he was getting into..but hiding the fact...Which is his high paid wife who is a doctor and can live a decent life and work for the marthoma sabha,. he put forth his ageing parents dialog that's a shame.....each and every achen's in the marthoma sabha has parents and they don't live with them. plus roy thomas was accommodated in usa in all ways possible....now he is blackmailing the sabha....it's amazing how people twist the facts.... he cannot live the luxurious life he is living here in usa in india and that is the truth.....people who support this please think for a while....roy thomas is not an achen...where in the marthoma church there is a lot of dedicated achen's who can serve you better.lets us pray for these achen's and leaders.They have a humongous job of keeping the marthoma sabha together. Get on your knees and pray for the marthoma sabha like our ancestors .....

Once again another example why the Marthoma church is drifting away from the stepping stones it was founded on.
You can excommunicate Rev. Roy Thomas, but no action was taken when a Marthoma bishop was accused of being gay? Many people came forward to speak on what that bishop did to them, but Metropolitan took no action. Instead he gave that bishop a sabbatical.
Marthoma church has become corrupted and only caring about money. Nothing has been done to take care of the next generation in this land.
Roy achen we are with you. We need a movement so our kids all dont leave for non denomination church.
