Wow. What an arrogant statement. I can only pray that God softens your hardened, judgmental heart. It's people who speak such hate and judgement onto other people who are fooled to believe that God will look at them and be pleased. If you feel these words are truth, then you should speak them in compassion and in a way that edifies. I"m really disgusted by the hate in your words and am assuming something is going on in your life which you're not happy with that is making you act out on other people in such a devilish, evil way.

The difference - Roy Achen chose to leave **WILLINGLY**. Thirumeni hasn't asked to leave. And the last time I checked sin itself is not a reason to be excommunicated. If anything, sinners like that need Jesus more than anyone else.
Of the people listed in your post, the person who cares most about money is Roy Achen who for the second time now CHOSE to leave the Mar Thoma Church so that his wife could hold a high paying position.

I am a member of a Mar Thoma church in the Northeast region. I was a child when he abandoned us because of his personal wants and needs. The church has done to much for him and he has given so little in return. It does not surprise me that he is once again leaving us. I wish him well, but I will not sign this petition.
After he announced he was leaving the first time, he attended a conference where the children were sharing their testimony until 2am. He announced after that he had been planning to leave, but after seeing the Spirit move so many young people in our church that he couldn't. He left us two months after. I can only hope rules are established about this type of behavior.

If roy achen has a problem he should kneel down and ask god for guidance....If you guys have a problem with the thirumanies decision you should also do the same and not provoke the well wishers of marthoma sabha...SD and meshamadhaven ...you don't even have the guts to post a discussion in your own name.marthoma sabha flourished throughout the world for 125 years and you think all the sabha vishwasikals are fools?.The marthoma thirumani has a lot of clergies under him not just roy thomas.he has to look after their well wishes also....There were comments here saying roy thomas was not serious in his role has a achen in the marthoma church ....what do you have to say about that... Almost all our achens are married and almost all kochamas heve jobs also,so is all those achens working where their kochammas are...All achens have parents,Are all parents with the achen where ever they are going?

As someone who has personally witnessed Roy Achen's ministry, I am sad to know that circumstances led him to this point and I am disappointed to know that the church had the opportunity to do better but chose not to. If this happened to one clergy member, I wonder how many more clergy members were victims to the Church's power. It makes sense why our Achens from India are so afraid of Bishops and leadership. Sadly the church will not grow or fulfill its mission with such actions which will only be a loss to the church as MTC members in North America have other options unlike India and the Middle East to worship.

Marthoma Christians don't follow Jesus, but follow the pursuit of wealth, power and material possessions. They love to take and post pictures with achens, thirumenis, movie actors and show off their expensive cars and clothes. They are fake Christians - precisely the ones to whom Jesus will say 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!". The Marthoma church is a money-centric organization, with achens devoting more time to exhorting the congregation to donate to various funds than to preaching the faith and saving souls. It's time for the Marthoma church to sell its possessions and follow Jesus

The younger generation is staying quiet. Please ask the young leaders why they are staying quiet. Many of them in our diocese. Ask them but do not be upset with what they tell you.

Politics, power and beauracracy is what runs this church which is not the church our forefathers went to worship. Irrespective of where Rev. Roy Thomas serves, the question like others have stated here is why the church hasn't emulated the basic fundamentals of Christianity. Easy to criticize one individual who has served and ignore the bigger issue here. Being older, my days are numbered but interesting to read that the younger generation is staying quiet and not looking at the bigger picture here. I have been blessed by Rev Roy's ministry and has seen his work in action here at the Vancouver church so it definitely is a loss.

I am very disappointed by the decision of the church and the only thing I see in this is the dirty politics that some people in the church is involved in.
As requested I think Roy achen has to be given back his position as a vicar and the church need

Regardless of what the church claims happened in this situation, the actions of the church is not one that reflects the love of Christ. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of Roy Achen and his ministry. However, having known Roy achen and experiencing his ministry personally, I have not doubt in my mind of his walk with the Lord. This is a loss for the church and the younger generation that continues to struggle in the Mar Thoma Church.
I pray that the Lord continues to use achen in fulfilling his ministry wherever achen ends up working.
